in December 2004, I brought home this lovely greyhound from Pawtropolis. I was inspired by an article about adopting retired racers in Martha Stewart Living, May 2003 (unfortunately article is not available online). True to rumor, Elly is very mellow, affectionate, and silly. The sole issue we have is that she has terrible separation anxiety- she really flips out when we leave her alone. I think that will improve with time and training.

You can check out her records here and her history here. After obedience class at Pawtropolis, Elly made it through the AKC Canine Good Citizen test and Therapy Dogs International. Now we go twice a month to visit at a local nursing home, and visit with some of the resident dog lovers there who can't have pets with them anymore.

	Lila calls her Beyonce cuz what an ass! Some of the other greyhound racers we've met have bald butts too, but nobody has known why.
