I can kill any houseplant, even a cactus. Dad, however, can get anything to thrive, including this unidentified plant, which is even blooming waxy, fake-looking blooms. sheesh.

First cake (a technique sampler with the handkerchief overlay, the drape, and the border) from the Wilton Fondant class. I used this fondant recipe because it is cheaper and tastier than buying the fondant.

Elly, posing next to my homemade Christmas decorations consisting of craft store sticks and berry garland, and some branches cut off my boxwood bushes, and lights. From the street at night, the lights actually just look like little xmas trees because they're serendipitously clumped into a cone shape.
